As 2021 has come to a close, we’d like to look back at some of our favourite cleaning products of the year. From trends to tried-and-true, we think there’s a little something for everyone to bring into this new year! Here is a list of the top household cleaning products of 2021.

ColorCoral Dust Cleaning Gel
A TikTok favourite, this ooey-gooey cleaning product looks and feels like the lovechild of playdoh and slime. Perfect for getting into awkward crevices like car vents and computer keyboards, simply press the ball of goo into the surface and it will collect all the dust and small debris hidden within. This product definitely adds a bit of fun to the dusting process! As a bonus, it can also be safely used on electronic and LED screens.
Scrub Daddy
One of our favourite parts about this abrasive sponge is how effective it is on caked-on messes. Dry and under cold water it stays hard, but rinse it under warm water and the fibres soften to make the Scrub Daddy squishy and flexible to soak up liquids. The sponge itself has cutouts for its eyes and smile, allowing for an easy grip as well as a way to clean small curved surfaces like spoons.
Lysol Disinfectant Wipes
No list of top cleaning products over the past year is complete without the ever-popular, often sold-out Lysol Disinfectant Wipes. Whenever COVID cases rise, these wipes seem to disappear off the shelves, and for good reason! Used as directed, they can be used against the novel coronavirus. While this one is definitely a fan favourite, tried and tested in thousands of Albertan households, there are other disinfectants deemed effective enough by scientists to kill SARS-CoV-2 on hard surfaces.
